SideHutt ("SideHutt," "we," "us") is a sole proprietorship based in New Mexico. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit sidehutt.com or shop with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email openhut@sidehutt.com.

- Contact details: name, email address, phone number (if you provide it)
- Order details: shipping and billing address, items purchased, order history
- Messages: anything you send through our contact form, by email, or through the chat on our site
- Email sign-ups: your name and email if you join our mailing list
Payment information
Payments are handled by our payment processors. We don't see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
When you use our site, we and our service providers collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages you view, links you click, the site that referred you, and general location (city or region). 2. How we use your information
- To process, ship and track your orders, and handle returns and refunds
- To answer your questions and provide customer support
- To send order updates and, if you sign up, marketing emails (you can unsubscribe anytime)
- To understand how people use our site and improve it
- To measure and show ads, including on Facebook and Instagram
- To prevent fraud and keep our site secure

3. Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run our store:
- Wix: our website, online store, email and site chat (Wix Chat) run on Wix.com, which stores and processes data for us.
- Payment processors: to take payment and prevent fraud.
- Production and fulfillment partners: the companies that make, pack and ship your order receive your name, shipping address and order details.
- Shipping carriers: to deliver your order and provide tracking.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): we use the Meta Pixel and Meta's server-side event tools (Conversions API) to measure ad results and show ads to people who visited our site. These tools may send Meta information such as pages viewed, purchases, and hashed contact details.
- Cookie consent provider: to show our cookie banner and remember your choices.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers or others.
- Business transfer: if SideHutt is sold or merged, customer information may transfer to the new owner.
4. Selling and sharing
We don't sell your personal information for money. Some state laws treat using advertising tools like the Meta Pixel as "selling," "sharing" or "targeted advertising." To opt out, email openhut@sidehutt.com with the subject "Opt out" and we'll stop sharing your information for advertising where we can. You can also adjust your ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account and use the cookie controls in your browser.
5. Your U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have about you
- Get a copy of it
- Correct it
- Delete it
- Opt out of targeted advertising, "sale" or "sharing"
To make a request, email openhut@sidehutt.com. We'll verify your request by matching it with information we already have (like your email and order number). An authorized agent may make a request for you with proof of authorization. We'll respond within the time required by law, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights. If we deny your request, you can reply to appeal.
6. Visitors from the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland
We're based in the United States and ship only to U.S. addresses, but our site is available worldwide. If you visit from Europe, our cookie banner asks for your consent before non-essential cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time. We process your information to fulfill orders (contract), with your consent (marketing cookies and emails), and for our legitimate interests (running and securing our store). You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. 7. How long we keep information
We keep order records as long as needed for taxes, accounting and legal reasons. We keep other information only as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy, then delete it.
8. Security
We use reputable service providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No website or online service is 100% secure.
9. Children
Our site is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
